have you ever destroyed something beautiful?

what would it feel like if you burned down an acre of forest, if you killed a bird that landed in your lap, if your name was jon brandsson.

what is it like, to know that the last of the species is lying in your hands, and you killed it? what is it like, to know that you did irreparable damage? that you are the unsaved, uncorrectable, unredeemable?

i burned down a house with people in it, i chopped down the eight hundred year old oak, i took the painting and i ripped it to shreds. you only have one life and one chance, and i burned it all with the precious thing i held in my hands, crystal pieces shattering, the fact that i cut myself is no mitigation.

what does it feel like? it feels like a giant hole in my heart is yawning with weight.

  • all of us have unhappy past, usually leave us guilt ridden for life.. but dwelling in it isnt gonna improve the situation. the sorrow and pain will stay forever, so dont bother getting rid of it unless you are to harden your heart. look forward, life is abt moving on.

well..its difficult to move on, just try.

    god bless you.

  • You changed your entry!

How nice it would be, if we knew the right thing to do, and actually had the will to execute it.

Emma Yong doesn't look very good. Go google her, yuans. Local actress.

    Who's John Brandsson?

Look at the blood on the clothes of that man in the picture.

"it feels like a giant whole in my heart is yawning with weight".

    Whole, not hole?

I wonder if Judas Iscariot felt like that when he traded Jesus' life for thirty pieces of cheap silver.

  • thanks for the spelling tip. it was meant to be hole, but at the same time, whole also fits thanks to the homonymic nature of it.

jon brandsson. the great auk. gooogle.

  • google says if you wrote this five days earlier it would have been on the aniversary of the death of the last auk.

...but of course, by now, the auks cant really say much about it anymore.

  • I would disagree. Judas was merely a pawn in God's ultimate plan of Salvation. If Christ had not been betrayed, He wouldn't have been crucified, nor killed for His blood to be shed for the redemption of mankind. Someone had to do the dirty work, and the onus fell upon him. Judas became a martyr, albeit in a twisted sense.

Having said that, I'm inclined to feel sorry for Judas because the price he paid for God's plan to be carried out - i.e. the forfeiture of his soul - is a fate surely much worse than that of death. If i were him, suicide is probably the only way to die with dignity and relative painlessness.

  • I think God knew that Judas would betray Jesus, but He didn't choose Judas to be the one. God is fair and omniscient. He could foresee the wrongdoings of Judas, but He didn't make Judas do it. The Bible recorded this prophesy because God knew that it would happen, and not because He specifically made Judas the scapegoat.

Jesus did warn Judas about betrayal until the point of His arrest. He asked Judas, "Are you going to betray the Son of Man with a kiss?" If God really forced Judas to do it, why did Jesus bother to even warn that retard who didn't seem to get any hint.

"Suicide is probably the only way to die with dignity".

There is no dignity in suicide. The moment you choose to end your own life, you're condemned to eternal hell. This may sound disgustingly cliched, but if you have the courage to kill yourself, you'd probably have enough strength to continue living that ratass life.

I do wonder what my life would be like if Judas hadn't chosen to betray Jesus.

  • Judas only existed to fulfill the prophesy. nothing more. nothing less.

  • what so bad about hell anyway? are you saying people shouldn't commit suicide because they'll go to hell? ohcomeon, as if we care; like saying to a sadomasochist, "i'm going to spank you for being bad..."

theres that terrible cliche (but sometimes cliches are useful because they are terribly right) that says that love is selfish because in the phrase 'i love you' the word i always comes before you (ok this is a really terrible cliche like the things primaryschoolkids write in autographbooks) and really if you insist on saying that you are the selfish one then i am just as guilty guilty guilty guilty so guilty we killed innocence

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thursday, June 16, 2005 10:08:00 AM

  • you're right. that is terrible cliched.

  • sorry.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Saturday, June 18, 2005 10:44:00 AM

  • Hell is bad. In fact the word "bad" isn't enough to describe the punishment of hell.

I'm sorry, but I believe in hell, and thinking about the sufferings in hell kept me from all attempts of potential suicide.

Your life isn't really yours anyway. You have no right to kill yourself.

I feel stupid telling all these to someone who obviously, doesn't give a hoot about God.
