"i'm sorry. i did nothing" straightforward, makes no effort to hide your guilt. are you guilty? i felt nothing. maybe i did feel bad for awhile. but so many disasters have happened, im sick of the guilt plagueing me... are most ppl like that too? we react to news only for awhile and commit little in helping... disasters always have adversely impact on their landscape which requires long term effort in rebuilding their wrecked homes. and in times like this, shouldnt we be grateful n guilty simultaneously? grateful that we live here, well protected, sipping hot coffee with erm, scone? and at the same time, having the ability to offer our help, the capacity to give n glee... other countries seldom contribute much as they would want to keep the funds for themselves just in case disasters ever find their way there. hmmm hmmm..actually...whats there to be proud of when we heard abt some of our countrymen lending their helping hand? is it really such a big deal??? what if we didnt help? i think, not only our reputation will be ruined, we'll probably be deemed as the notorious n snobbish rich boy living among the less fortunate ones..which will result in strong sense of resentment and we'll be scrutinised for sure. also, if we turn a blind eye and not help, if providing isnt our immediate instinct..then truly, we should just burn in hell.
its an obligation, caz we're better off financially and geographically blessed.
in the summer there was love, and my heart was an open road. we could have rolled on for ever. but the days became short, and winter came too soon, and the land is blanketed with snow. no two snowflakes drifting through my hands are identical, but they obliterate the ground all the same.

we can't sit by and not help other people forever. if it's in our nature to do something and we do not, surely we're to blame.
